Many teenagers remember their very first visit to a gynecologist for a long time. Most girls approach the visit with some apprehension. Many questions arise: What happens during the first visit? What will the gynecologist ask me? Is the examination painful? Can my parents come along?
Your first visit with us can, of course, take place in the presence of your parents, a friend, or your partner, but you are also welcome to come alone if you prefer. In most cases, the first visit is simply a meeting where all your questions, concerns, or fears can be discussed. We are happy to inform you about topics relevant to you, such as different contraceptive options, medications for menstrual pain, vaccinations, and more. Usually, an abdominal ultrasound (performed from the outside of the abdomen) is also conducted, which is completely painless, especially for those who are sexually active.
